1 of 1,895 Prana, Kundalini & The Nadis
Oct 23, 2024
Over the past couple of years, I've seen "Kundalini Activation," rise in popularity along with Breathwork classes.
Like breath work, there is something, "there," which is catalyzing these peak experiences.
Specifically in these Kundalini focused classes, the facilitator is transmitting and directing variations of kundalini energy through the Nadis in the body causing the Kesha's and karmic residue in the energetic circulatory system to be burned off.
Nadis are the wires that make up the circulatory system of the subtle energy body and connect the Chakras to each other.
The somatic & convulsive movements the physical body reacts with are Kriyas - energetic movements & pulsations.
Predominately in these classes, Prana Shakti is transmitted along with Kundalini Shakti.
Shakti, is an over arching term used for spiritual, creative & life force energy. It is the feminine energy of the Divine that breaks down into more subtle flavors like prana, chita, and kundalini.
The intensities of these energies vary and depending on the tradition, there are different practices which stimulate the energies in different ways.
Classical Pranayama focuses on the regulation, mastery & amplification of Prana Shakti in the body. Through daily practice, Prana Shakti can be directed into the different Nadi's in the body and further cleanse the impurities in the physical & subtle body.
In time, the Kundalini is activated naturally with Prana Shakti and travels a natural pathway through the Nadis since the practice of Pranayama prepares & cleanses the way for the Kundalini to travel naturally.
Many of the fears around Kundalini awakening come from the activation of the kundalini and its movements through impure and not properly cleansed or prepared Nadis.
When this happens, there is less intense, sudden, or uncomfortable energetic movements & pain caused by the movement of Kundalini.
This, of course, is a beneficial side effect of correct & true pranayama which is meant to prepare us for deeper levels of practice and higher states of consciousness.
In November, I am hosting a 2 week online Pranayama intensive. It will contain live lecture, practice & Q&A sessions.
I'd like to invite you to join in on this transformational practice which has benefited myself in numerous ways.
More to come!
